My special ability

Everyone has some or several abilities. One of mine is that I'm good at many sports.

I'm good at most sports that I practise, for example like football, basketball, paddle, swimming, etc.

When I was young, I always liked to play with balls. At the age of 6, I could play football very well, and slowly, any sport that I practised, I was good.

Sometimes, I played with kids, who played very well their favourite sport, and I hardly never played that sport, and I was to their level game. Some people were surprised. 

I'm so greatful to have this ability, because I can practise any sport and I know I'll be good at it. I hope this ability lasts many years.

New Year's Eve

These christmas have been perfect, but the best day was  New Year's Eve.

Well, I spent christmas in Ronda (Málaga), where all my family live. The 31st of december was the last  day of the year and Ispent that special night with my family. It was special day because it was one of few days, that all of my family were together.

That morning, when I woke up, I read a book for an hour. After that, as usual, I went to my cousin's house to play videogames.I almost always have lunch there. At four o'clock I took a nap until seven o'clock. I slept a lot!.

We spent New Year's Eve at my grandmother's house. At half past nine, all the family were already seated to eat. I ate a lot of meat, seafood, salads,etc....

At quarter to twelve, we were ready to take the grapes.And it was the first year that I did not choke on the grapes!

We spent the whole night dancing, singing and playing with my small cousins. It was wonderful! I slept at half past six.

I spent a wonderful day with my family, and I hope that next year will be better!

In the  english class, we had done a power point presentation, that  it consisted  of describing several photos that were related to the themes of  the song.

We have chosen IMAGINE, of John Lennon, because we thought that it was easy to relate photos with this song. All this  photos are related with themes of the song. We also have an activity, that you can do at the end.

SCARY MOVIE

We had to make a scary movie for English. We had a lot of fun and we had few problems. In my group we were: Pedro Gómez, Marta Fraile, Elena Pérez, Víctor Burgos, Miguel Paúl and me, Juan Antonio Rodríguez. 

Our idea was that the world was habited by zombies, but there were three survivals who were lost. They were hungry, they didn't have any food to eat, so they looked for it..

We recorded The second of november,  in Victor's house and  in Zaudin. We recorded in two hours.

All of us had to have make up, to transform ourselves into  zombies. You should have seen us!jajaj

We did not have any problems because all of us could record at any moment. We recorded each scene several times because we laughed a lot. 

I have worked very well with my classmates. I hope to repeat this experience again as an actor. It was AWESOME!.

Elena:                        This is the actual world. Forget about your life. Now the important thing is survive. No matter what you do, no matter what you say.

Juanan:         Few people are still alive, small groups keep trying to find a place to live and some food to eat. And all of them are looking for the same thing...

Both: SURVIVE!

(Countryside anywhere)

Marta:           The city was supposed to be here… We’ll never find it!

Pedro:           Just behind us!

Marta:           Aaahhh!!!

(Few minutes later)

Pedro:           Hey guys, look at that!

Miguel:         We have to go, we need to find some food.

Marta:           That’s a good idea.

(At the door)

Miguel:         What the hell, what’s that?

Pedro:           Bah, that’s Chinese!

Marta:           No… I think it’s Spanish.

Miguel:         F****** Chinese!

(At street)

Pedro: Heyy!

Miguel:         What have you found?

Pedro:           It’s a camera.

Miguel:         A really good camera!

Pedro:           Say hello!!

Marta:           Hello!

Miguel:         Hello! I’m hungry man.

Marta:           Let’s look for food in that house.

Pedro:           Ok, stay here. I’ll check out.

(Later)

Pedro:           Oh! So lucky. It’s opened.

Mmm… it’s closed. This house looks abandoned. It seems like if zombies have lived here for a long time.

Oh shit!!

(Later)

Marta:           Something is wrong.

Miguel:         Let’s go in. I’m going to see what’s up with Mike.

Marta:           I’m going to take some food.

(Marta opens the door and shouts)

Marta:           Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!

(At the same time)

Miguel:         What!? Mike!! Oh my god, they are everywhere.

Conclusion

Miguel:         Many things have changed. This is the future.

Victor:           This is a difficult world. If someone falls down, keep running, or you will die, they will eat you.

Miguel:         Cities are yours, you are alone.

Victor:           Forget about your friends and love.

Miguel:         Don’t forget you are the only human.

THANKSGIVING DAY

I want to say thanks for new technologies because nowadays we can do things that in the past we can't.

Right now, we can have internet out of our houses in our mobile phones. If you want to look for information when you are out of your house.

New technologies also allow us to see our friends by using a webcam and instant messaging over the Internet, through programmes like skype.

It also allows us to play games consoles, that has good graphics, and games seem very real. Many children have it at home, even adults  play with games consoles.

This is part of new technologies, which make us live better, and for this I'm so grateful! Thanks.

OUR PERFORMANCE

Today, we have done the performance of P.E in high school. To make this performance we have been practising  3 weeks to prepare it. I think we did well. The other groups have done very well too. But I was surprised with the Rita's group . It was awesome!.

In the performance we had to represent  several Olympic Games sports. We had tennis, table tennis, canoeing, water polo and athletics.

For the performance, we have needed several materials and we did a power point to explain each sport and the  Spanish athletes going to the london 2012 Olympics Games. In the group, we were: Manu García, Diego Bustos, Alberto Torres, Miguel Lama, Andrés Fernandez, Luis Muñiz and I, Juanan Rodríguez.

TENNIS

  The modern game of tennis originated in late 19th century Birmingham, England. Most historians believe that tennis started from 12th century France, (but the ball was struck with the palm of the hand). Tennis was called ‘’ Jeu de Paume’’. Tennis was created by European monks for entertainment roles during ceremonial occasions. Louis X of France was a player of ‘’Jeu de Paume’’, which evolved into real tennis, and he became notable as the first person to construct indoor tennis courts in the modern style.

In Tennis there are many tournaments. The best four tournaments are Roland Garros(Paris ,France) Wimbledon (London, England), Us Open (New York, USA) and Australian Open (Melbourne, Australia). There are other tournaments like Masters 1000 (Madrid, Rome, Miami, Shanghai, Montreal, etc).  There are three types of courts: Hard, Clay and Grass.

Now, for the Olympic Games, are qualified the first four spanish players in the ranking ATP: 

Rafa Nadal(2º): He has won 10 Grand Slam singles titles (6 Roland Garros, 2 Wimbledon, 

 1 Australian Open, 1 US Open). He has also won 21 Masters 1000 and 4 Davis Cup with Spain.

 David Ferrer(6º): He has won 14 singles titles ( 8 Masters 500 and 6 Masters 250). He has been in the 4º position in 2008.  He has also won 3 Davis Cup with the national Team.

 Nicolás Almagro(12º): He has won 11 singles titles (2 Masters 500 and 9 Masters 250). He has been in the 9º position  in 2011. He has also won a Davis Cup with the national team.

 Feliciano López(16º): He has won 2 singles titles (1 master 500 and 1 master 250). He has also won 4 Davis Cup with the national team.
